Construction work is well underway at the Möslbahn. In April, the excavation was secured with shotcrete. Below the gondola station, a blinding layer was applied. The preparations for the base plate are underway as well, and the access-road is being created with reinforced soil. At the intermediate station, preparations for construction are running and the pit is being excavated.
Quite a bit has happened at the construction site of the Möslbahn: At the valley station, we saw good progress regarding the formworks of the walls and the sole plate in the area of the undergroud parking. Moreover, the shotconcrete work at the intermediate station has been completed, and the blinding layer has been installed. We also started with laying in the pipeline for the artificial snow making system, and three excavators are currently working on the slope.
In June, the base plate of the underground parking as well as the ceiling of the station has been concreted. Parts of the bottom and summit stations have been backfilled and equiped with transformers. On the future slope, excavators are carefully removing grass to cultivate and replant it afterwards. Moreover, the excavations for the pillars are beeing compoleted, and further pipelines for the artificial snowmaking machines are being laid.
Doppelmayr has already begun assembling the Möslbahn Summit Station as well as the drivetrain. At the bottom station, the concrete work for the ceiling has been completed and the assembly of the gondola station has been started. The pillars have also been put into place with the help of a helicopter. The upper part of the piste is almost completely finished and a lot of progress is being made on the lower part. Moreover, pipes and cables have been laid and trenches have been dug for the artificial snowmaking facilities.
A lot has happened in August at the construction site of the Möslbahn. At the summit station, complementation works are underway. At the bottom station, Doppelmayr has just finished the assembly of the support structure for the return station and will start with the assembly at the intermediate station in the next few days. The concrete works are almost completed at all three stations, and experts have already started working on the interior. Anchoring works have been going on at the avalanche barriers, and soon the first rows of structures will be positioned with the help of a helicopter. The slope will be recultivated and greenery will be planted. The construction works for the pipes have almost been completed as well.
More progress at the Möslbahn construction site: Concrete works have been completed at all three stations. The cable has already been hauled, spliced, and fitted. We also received the gondolas, which are now parked in the station, fully assembled. Moreover, the station scaffoldings as well as the enclosures have been completed. Doppelmayr is now performing the adjustments. The piste construction is 90% completed, the pending recultivation will be completed soon. Electrical and piping works for the artificial snow making system are currently underway. At the intermediate station, the underground tanks for the diesel filling station have been placed and the pipes will soon be completed.
The final works are being finished at the Möslbahn construction site: The exterior design of the stations is almost done, the adjustment of the ropeway is completed, and we have already started doing trial runs. At the artificial snowmaking system and pumping stations, works are close to completion as well. The snow-makers have been flown out, assembled, and we're conducting pressure tests and trial runs.
The exterior of the Möslbahn has been completed and we're now finished with the trial runs of the ropeway. The new Piste 16 is ready as well. We are now testing the artificial snow making system, which has yet to be approved by the ropeway authority in Vienna (the application was submitted on 1 November). If the approval is granted, the Möslbahn will start operating on 15 December 2018.
