Servus ###USER_firstname###,

Summer is saying goodbye, a golden autumn is right here now. The mountains of Mayrhofen are the perfect place for going on excursions and adventures until the end of October.

The Penkenbahn will remain open until 10 October 2021 and the Ahornbahn will be running until 26 October 2021. You have one last chance to enjoy some pure fun and action at the Funsportstation on Mount Penken this weekend, 2 and 3 October, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Until 31 October 2021, you also still have the opportunity to take part in our survey and, with a little luck, win great prizes!

... AND DON'T FORGET - #somuessenbergesein

We’re looking forward to a wonderful autumn with you!

- around the Filzen reservoir -

While hiking around the Filzen Reservoir on Mount Ahorn, you’ll have the chance to find out fascinating facts about falconry and its history as well as enjoy the breathtaking panorama and relax at the resting places.

You can also get an idea of what the new winter home of our Birds of Prey will be like. The Falkneroase will be another highlight on the Winter Hiking Path Ahorn, where you can watch our acrobats on training flights and observe them in their home.

- the new buzzard eagle -

At the beginning of August 2021, we welcomed YakariBlue as the newest member at the Eagle’s Stage Ahorn. Back then he was still covered with short feathers which were fine and soft, but in the meantime he has grown into a proud buzzard eagle and has become a fixture of the Birds of Prey Shows on Mount Ahorn.

Falconers Didi and Waltraud make every effort to ensure that all of our aerial acrobats are properly cared for and well trained. You can watch the kings of the sky on Leisure Mountain Ahorn daily until 10 October 2021 (except Tuesdays) at 2:00 p.m., weather permitting!

- at the Knorren Massif -

The beginner-friendly Knorren Nadel Via Ferrata starts at the foot of the Knorren Massif on Mount Penken. With two rope bridges and a vertigo-inducing viewing platform on the Knorrennadel, however, it’s not to be underestimated. Via ferrata experts will be happy to find the Steinbock Via Ferrata in the lower third. After a steep ascent, you will be spoiled with a truly incredible panorama of the Zillertal Alps. Via ferrata sets are still available for rent this weekend at the Funsportstation (subject to availability, fees apply).
