| Be the first on the mountains
As connoisseurs of the Alps will know, this is the best time of the day. Early in the morning, first rays of sunshine glow in the alpine sky. While others are still at breakfast and the sunlight waits in anticipation behind the snow-capped 3000m peaks above, you are already on your way. Our lifts are already running quietly and comfortably, ferrying visitors up to the 1965m summit station. Up there, the sunrise will take your breath away. Golden sun rays caress the sky, a visual feast surveying the central alpine region of the Zillertal, Mayrhofen, Hippach and Finkenberg - and further beyond into the Tux Valley. As if painted by the artist's brush, this high plateau of the Filzen Alps extends as far as the eye can see. Soft, luscious alpine meadows, couched between proud mountain peaks. And the whole day still only lies ahead of you: wonderful walks through the mountain top park of the Zillertal Alps, 372 square kilometres of breathtaking, untouched alpine countryside. Easy mountain paths or challenging trails from one peak to the next. Everything up here is idyllic, right down to the romantic alpine huts, where many hours can be whiled away enjoying the hearty Zillertal cuisine.

Especially for early birds, the Ahornbahn starts operating daily at 7.30am throughout July and August in good weather. For exact information and bookings call +43-5285-62277-436 after 05.00 pm one day in advance.
- Mountain Breakfast
Every day all summer long, you can enjoy a tasty breakfast in front the breathtaking landscape around the Filzenstadl. Not only for mountaineers but also for those who want to have a chilled out and enjoyable start into the day.
Sunrise at Mount Ahorn
Every Thursday from mid July to end of August, you have the unique opportunity to watch the sunrise from up above: Take the early Ahornbahn to the wonderful Ahorn Plateau and have a tasty breakfast afterwards on the Panorama Platform (watch film on top).
The ascent always takes place on time to get there before sunrise between 5.00 and 6.00am. You need to book in advance at every lift ticket counter until Wednesday 02.00 pm. There you will also receive further information.
