In order to not only take our guests elegantly and comfortably onto the mountain, but also ensure a enjoyable ride down, Mayrhofner Bergbahnen have optimised artificial snowmaking on Mount Ahorn and Penken. Low pressure machines will complement the snow guns we have been using in the lower areas of the Ahorn Leisure Mountain. Thus achieving a far higher efficiency, especially in warmer temperatures.

In the winter season 2008/09, guests of Mayrhofen will again have the chance to enjoy the unique combination of Igloo Hotel, Igloo Bar and exclusive party location at the Ahornplateau. Every igloo is a masterpiece in its own right, owing to the designer’s particular attention to detail. By day, cold-weather athletes lounge in a sea of deck chairs, squinting in the sun. The soothing music drifting over from the igloo bar makes for the perfect apres-ski chill-out. Relaxation and recreation – that’s what the White Lounge is all about, nestled between the mighty peaks of the upper Zillertal valley. And that’s just for starters. Every Tuesday, the White Lounge decks itself out as Zillertal’s most off-the-wall spot to see and be seen at. The special “party package” with overnight accommodation in one of the ten Igloo-suites, put together by Mayrhofner Bergbahnen, is a real hit with fete-followers. |
